Gerolf Schalk

Gerolf Schalk (28) is a PhD researcher at Siemens Digital Industries Software and a lecturer at Graz University of Technology. Alongside his academic career, he serves as a technical officer in the Austrian Armed Forces. Gerolf obtained bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering, with a strong focus on Systems Engineering, Product Lifecycle Management, and AI-driven engineering automation. His work emphasizes model-centric digitalization approaches supporting data sovereignty and engineering efficiency in industrial organizations. Equally passionate about engineering education, Gerolf dedicates himself to enhancing student and professional training, ensuring engineers understand, trust, and successfully adopt emerging technologies.
